CELTA

If you would like to teach English to speakers of other languages, whether in the UK or abroad, then the most widely-recognised qualification is the Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) - sometimes referred to as TEFL or TESOL. The CELTA teaching qualification is awarded by Cambridge ESOL and opens doors to English language teaching jobs around the world.

A CELTA is perfect for people looking to take a career break, embarking on a Gap Year or wanting to start a career in English language teaching inside or outside of the UK. At IH London we offer more Cambridge ESOL CELTA courses than any other centre at times that suit you. You can study on a full-time or part-time basis, with classes from 9-4pm or 12-6.30pm. During the CELTA course you are continuously assessed through teaching practice and written assignments.
