Classroom Skills for Primary Teachers

Classroom Skills for Primary Teachers is one of our special two week summer language courses for English language teachers working overseas. This course is for people teaching English as a second language, or even as a third language, at primary school level. It gives you practical ideas for classroom management and teaching communication skills for primary level (5-10 years old).

You need a good standard of written and spoken English, and must have a level of competence equivalent to the Cambridge First Certificate (CFC) or CEF B2.

Course overview

  • Classroom Skills for Primary Teachers looks at different primary teaching approaches and evaluates the teaching materials available for children at this level. We also cover teaching classroom management, and how to use English songs, games and stories for primary school learners.
  • Classes are Monday to Friday from 13:15 - 16:15.
  • The minimum age is 18 years old and the maximum class size is 15.
