Language Development and Teaching Skills

Language Development and Teaching Skills is one of our two-week summer language courses for people teaching English as a foreign language. The course covers a variety of teaching communication skills. Topics include fluency and confidence building, teaching grammar effectively, extending lexical range and improving pronunciation. We also cover teaching classroom management and include tips and advice on planning effective lessons for different types of learners.

Course information

  • Language Development and Teaching Skills is aimed at teachers whose first language is not is not English. However you do need a good standard of written and spoken English equivalent to the Cambridge First Certificate (FCE) or CEF B2
  • Classes are held from Monday to Friday between 1.15-4.15pm.
  • The minimum age is 18 years old and the maximum class size is 15.
