Learning a new language is an engaging and valuable exercise at any age. Here at International House London, we run a wide range of Modern Language courses for all levels. Our survival language courses and academic programmes can help you improve your language skills; whether you want to learn basic French for a holiday or become proficient in all aspects of Chinese.
Our courses are informative and interactive, with an emphasis on speaking and learning through doing rather than book learning. You can take short or long courses in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish under the guidance of our friendly and proficient teachers. Our Modern Language teachers come from all over the world and offer an authentic insight into the culture and countries behind the language.

How We Teach
At International House London, we focus on communication and speaking, with student to student interaction being used rather than a more traditional lecturing approach. This makes our English and Modern Language courses both exciting and rewarding, with progress being made very quickly.
Learn Mandarin Chinese
The Olympics may be over but it’s not too late to learn Chinese, either for pleasure or academically. China is a fascinating place to visit and a centre of international business. We offer Chinese language courses in groups or on a one-to-one basis; you can study in the evenings, during the day or over a longer period.
