Standard General English Group Course
Our Standard General English Group Course will help you improve English language skills in the core areas of speaking, listening, reading and writing. The course is ideal for busy people and students who want to learn how to speak better English in the heart of London. Our School of English caters for all English language levels, from elementary to advanced learners. Please see our English language levels chart for a full break down. Course overview
- 15 lessons per week (55 minutes each), Monday to Friday from 9-12pm with a 15 minute break. Total lesson time each week: 13 hours and 45 minutes.
- Please note this course does not meet the requirements for a General Student Visa (GSV). Please see the Standard Plus General English Course or the Intensive General English Course instead.
- This course helps you practise English language skills, with an emphasis on improving your fluency and building confidence when speaking English.
- It meets the general English needs of students from Elementary level (CEF A2) through to Advanced level (CEF C2).
- Teachers use coursebooks, authentic material and out-of-class activities in their lessons.
- If your course is 24 weeks or more you can transfer to a Cambridge Examinations or IELTS preparation course at no extra cost, depending on your level.
- The maximum class size is 14 students - with a class average of ten.
- Minimum entry age for this course is 16 years old.
