Preparing for University

British universities are amongst the best in the world, offering a multitude of courses and welcoming international students. Our intensive University Foundation Programmes are designed to give overseas students, who have finished secondary education in their own country, the academic and language skills necessary to succeed at a UK university.

The IH London University Foundation Programmes provide a secure and fast entry route into many UK Bachelors Degree Courses in Engineering, Business Studies, Finance, Accounting and Law. Our modular programme can be studied over six or nine months and is integrated with an IELTS Preparation Programme; helping you achieve an IELTS score of 6.5 or better (the entry standard required by most British universities).

I liked the flexible way of learning and made really fast progress as a result. I also met some great people at IH London who I'm still friends with.

Choosing a degree course

With so much choice on offer, it's hard to know which university to go to. The International House University Foundation Programme is independent of any particular university, so we can offer you unbiased advice on degree courses and universities. New Law module for 2009

From September 2009 you can study Law as an optional module in the University Foundation Programme (UFP). We're running it in partnership with the University of Buckingham, which means UFP graduates can progress straight to the University of Buckingham's two-year Law degree.
